Comic: Broken Heart

We have all done it and we have all been on the receiving end of it...the broken heart. 

Why do we hurt the ones that love us the most? :( 

I was hoping to get this done for inktober but I've been learning to knit making a big mess with a ball of yarn and some needles, and well, starting my SIMPLE, BEGINNER knitting project over and over again because I didn't know how to fix my mistakes mixed with my OCD took up a lot of my time.

Anyway, this is the first panel of a three panel comic. Their story does get better, I promise. Time really does heal everything. :)

Buffalo Home & Garden Show 2013: nikkiMdesign's concept for the white room challenge

For this years Buffalo Home & Garden show, seven of Buffalo's finest designers are competing for the best designed 12x12 space. 

Our inspiration had to come from this vintage travel poster, which is an advertisement for Annecy France, a holiday destination. 

We couldn't help but fall in ♥ with the idea of a long distance love relationship between a young french woman and a young american man who was vacationing in France when they met. Though their time together was brief, their love for one another burns strong. 

Sneak Peek: Buffalo, NY Home and Garden Show 2013

Buffalo's Home & Garden Show of 2013 is quickly approaching. This year, the Interior Design Association of WNY is hosting a White Room Challenge for seven of Buffalo's finest interior designers. nikkiMdesign is participating in the contest and Heather Benson and I are having an absolute blast prepping for the upcoming show.
